Oil changes and
maintenance

Keep your engine running strong with regular service from A&R Motors
Watch for these

Signs your vehicle needs an oil change or maintenance

Your engine tells you when it’s time. Listen to it. We’ll handle the rest.

Dashboard warning

The oil pressure light or check engine light means something needs attention now. Don’t ignore it—bring the car in and we’ll diagnose what’s wrong.

Engine noise or knocking

Rough sounds from under the hood usually mean the oil is dirty or low. Fresh oil quiets things down and protects your engine from wear.

Mileage intervals

Your owner’s manual has the schedule. We track it for you and remind you when service is due so you never have to guess.

What we do during your oil change

We drain old oil, replace the filter, top up all fluids, and inspect your engine’s vital systems. Nothing gets missed.

Fresh oil and filter

We use quality oil matched to your engine and install a new filter every time. Your engine gets what it needs to run clean.

Fluid top-ups

Coolant, brake fluid, and windshield washer all get checked and topped off. Small details that keep you safe on the road.

Multi-point inspection

We look at belts, hoses, battery, and other critical components while you wait. If something’s wearing out, we tell you straight.

Brakes that stop your car safely

Follow your manufacturer’s schedule or your driving habits—whichever comes first. City driving, towing, and cold winters all mean more frequent service.

FAQ

No waiting on hold.

How often should I get my oil changed?
For modern vehicles using synthetic oil, the standard interval is usually every 8,000 to 10,000 kilometers. However, if you do a lot of stop-and-go city driving in the GTA, you may need it changed sooner. Always check your owner’s manual or ask us to set a custom schedule based on your driving habits.
Do I really need synthetic oil?
If your manufacturer requires full synthetic oil, yes. Synthetic oil handles extreme temperatures better than conventional oil—meaning easier starts in Canadian winters and better protection during hot summer traffic.
How long does an oil change take at your shop?
A standard oil change, including our multi-point inspection and fluid top-offs, typically takes about 30 to 45 minutes. You can relax in our waiting area while we get your vehicle ready.
Why is my low oil pressure light on?
This is a serious warning. It means your engine isn’t getting enough lubrication, either because the oil level is critically low or the oil pump is failing. Pull over safely, turn off the engine, and call us immediately. Driving with low oil pressure can destroy your engine in minutes.
